Depending on your needs, we are pleased to offer both laser and rotary engraving services. The choice of using laser or rotary technology will largely depend on the final look/application you require.
Laser on metal:
Laser marking on a metallic surface will result in a black finish – please see images below. Useful when a higher contrast between the metal and text is required, or extremely high detail (photographs or detailed logos).
Rotary engraving on metal:
Rotary engraving, unlike laser, is performed through physical contact between the cutter and metal being engraved. As a result the metal will be ‘etched’ by either a diamond tip or extremely fine metal cutter. This type of engraving provides a more ‘classic’ engraved look and is suitable for text, logos on virtually all metals. It is also used where a minimum depth of engraving is required into a metal – e.g. 0.5mm depth – for specific industrial applications.
